Anakku Yang Pertama

Anakku Yang Pertama
Kini aku gembira
Yang ku tunggu dah tiba
Anakku lahir sudah
Hai anakku yang pertama

Sungguh cantik rupanya
Mirip wajah ibunya
Betapa bahagia
Hai dengan kehadirannya

chorus:
Kau kujadikan raja
Di dalam rumahtangga
Ku curahkan semua
Hanya untuk mu sayang

Buah hati wahai permata
Besarlah kau segera
Anakku yang pertama
Riang tiada terkira
Hapus segala duka
Bila ku memandangnya
Hai anakku yang pertama

It's Never Too Late

By: Dr James Dobson
I'm sure you've noticed that the world seems to worship youth and fears getting old. But there was a time when age was associated with wisdom and experience. In fact, some of the greatest accomplishments in history came very late in life.

Immanuel Kant wrote on of his best philosophical works at the age of 74. Verdi penned his classic "Ave Maria" at 85. Alfred Lord Tennyson was 80 when he wrote "Crossing the Bar". Michelangelo was 87 when he completed "The Pieta", his greatest work of art. Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes set down some of his most brilliant opinions at the age of 90. Titian painted his famous "Battle of Lepanto" at the age of 98. And Ronald Reagan was the powerful man in the world at 75. Generally speaking, older people today are healthier than ever before and anything that squanders their talents is foolish. And while we're on the subject, it bugs me a little that television advertisers are only interested in the younger set. Isn't a tube of toothpaste sold to an 80-year old just as profitable as one pitched to a child?

This notion that life should be winding down at 50 or 60 years of age is crazy. I'll bet the baby-boomers agree with me. They set the world on its ear when they were kids. They're not going to go limping off the stage before they absolutely must, nor should you or I.

Cost of Being a Parent

"Excerpt by Dr James Dobson"

Considering how expensive and difficult it is to be a good parent, many people wonder these days why anyone would want to even have children. I'm reminded of a woman who boarded a Los Angeles bus a few years ago and sat in the seat behind me. Her hair was a mess and the black circles under her eyes revealed a state of utter exhaustion. As she stumbled past me with seven rambunctious yuoungsters I asked, "Do all those children belong to you? Or is this some kind of picnic?" She looked at me through squinted eyes and said, "They're mine and believe me it's no picnic". The woman is right. Parenthood is an assignment that demands everything we can give it. And to do the job right requires some sacrifice and maybe even a few tears. And yet nothing worth having comes cheap. Speaking as a father, there's never been a greater moment in my life than when i gazed into the eyes of my newborn daughter and then five years later, my son. What could be more exciting than seeing those tiny human beings begin to blossom, grow, learn and love. And what reward ca be more meaningful than having my little boy or girl climb onto my lap, hug my neck and whsper "I love you, Daddy". Yes, children are expensive, but they're certainly worth what they cost us.

A Level Result 2007

2nd March 2007 Friday (3.30pm)- a date to be remembered for the rest of my life.....was walking aimlessly at Ikea Tampines after sent my daughter to Meridian JC to collect her A level result. I was comtemplating to answer the call when it rang. Oh oh it is my little mermaid...i was stunned for a split second. Stay calm....when i heard she is crying on the other line....mummy mummy mummy mummy for pretty 5 seconds....i have good news for you!! Phew!! what a relief! Whatever grade that she might get, truthfully i have no idea about ranking, what i only knew is as long as you are eligible to enter NUS, Alhamdullillah.

Her scores for some people is nothing to be proud of, but i as her mother, I am very proud of her for her achievements by looking back how hard she work and prepare for the exam. An A for her Mathematics, A for her Chemistry, C for her Biology and C for her General Paper.
