Took high blood pressure pill after 'sahur'. To SGH for surgery at 10am
Surgery postponed to 2pm.
At 1.30pm on my way out from clinic for zohor prayer, my name was called saying that the surgery room is ready. Fortunately another nurse did a check and confirmed surgery at 2pm. She suggested that i pray in the changing room and apologises for having no sejadah. I performed my zohor in the changing room accompanied by my daughter. My last prayer in sujud 'Ya Allah, I tawakal pada Mu'.
After changing, another nurse asked me whether i want to see my husband before going to the surgery room. She asked me to wait and my daughter went out to call for my husband. Parting kisses with wondering whether i will be seeing him again or not, so as for my daughter.
How do i feel?
Uncomfortable and mind fully occupied with unnecessary things. I left my fate in the hand of Allah as He knows the best for His hamba.
Pushed me into waiting room before entering operation theatre room and i told them that i am taking high blood pressure medicine but unable to tell them the name of the medicine. I told them to take the name from my daughter who is waiting outside. The nurse came back and told me that my family already left. I suggested that they call them and gave my daughter's name (the only number which i can remember at that time). Nurse came back and said that they are on their way home.
Pushed into the operation theatre where i met Dr Benita Tan. Feel sleepy and suddenly was in deep sleep and woke up to a female voice telling me that the operation is over. My left arm are attached to the high blood machine and was too sleepy to look around.
Wheeled back to the day surgery ward and the first person i saw was my daughter followed by my husband.
How do i feel?
Syukur se syukur syukurnya, thanking Allah for giving me a chance to continue living.
Later in the evening, my brother and his wife came to visit. Spent most of the night sleep. My daughter accompanied me the whole night and i was a lucky mother to have a filial daughter who attended my needs. She wiped after i urinate with no sign of disgust, am amazed with her sincerity, may Allah bless her a happy life with her loved ones.
I was on drip and on drainage below my right breast.
How do i feel?
Tightness on my right arm, unable to move it freely due to the removal of lymph nodes.

Went for blood test, but i was supposed to go for body scan and bone scan on 22 August. I was not given the appointment letter as it was kept in my folder with the hospital. Anyway was able to go for body scan and blood test. As for bone scan, they will do it the day after surgery.
How do i feel?
Frustrated with admin's mistake for making unecessary worried in my family, especially my husband and daughter who asked the question: What will happen if they found out something not right during the surgery. Will it affect my well being? They assured me that it is only for find out my body conditions.
During pre surgery check up, they found that my blood pressure too high 155 and second reading is 166. I was advised to rush down to consult any GP to lower down my blood pressure.
Went to Dr Lim at Chai Chee and he prescribed me with Amlodipine 10mg. Took Amlodipine after breaking my fast and prayed for the best.
How do i feel?
Nature works in it own way...why my blood pressure suddenly shot up? Too excited!

Dr Benita Tan is away, so i met a lady doctor. She told me that the cell is cancerous and suggested that i go for surgery. There are three types of surgery to choose:
1) Remove only the cancerous part which is only about 70 to 80%
2) Remove the whole breast which is 99%
3) Remove and reconstructed the breast using the stomach muscle.
Unable to give my decision as i was in total numb to feeling at that moment. I shed tears when one of the nurses comforted me outside the doctor's room.
They referred me to consult Sister Sara for further clarification on breast surgery. I requested to wait for my husband. Went out and call my husband but he is on the way for Friday prayer. Called him again, he is back to hotel. I asked him to come to SGH. Waited for him and found a place to talk at taxi stand. Told him that i have been diagnosed breast cancer.
Went in to consult sister Sara, but was referred to Sister Shanti. She explained all the procedures. I choose the second option, to remove the whole breast and lymph nodes.
How do i feel?
I accepted the fact, but still hoping that it is not too serious but worried.
