Day Seven - 29th May 2008
Paris
Reached Paris via TVG at Paris Gare De Lyon Station.
We check-in Prince Albert Hotel which a walking distances of 10 minutes. Immediately checking in, we head to look for Eiffel Tower. We move around Paris using our free Metro Card which is very convenient and cost saving.
The Eiffel Tower is an iron tower built on the Champ de Mars beside the Seine
River in Paris. Named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel. It is the tallest building in Paris and one of the most recognized structures in the world. We went up to the top and the view is fantastic…..i’m afraid of the height though!

Arc de Triomphe
This is one of my dream destination. When I just completed secondary school and waiting for my result, iIworked in a camera factory Rollei. It was in Rollei when one of the technician by the name Mr Goh who showed me and my friends his holiday photos in Paris. This pariticular monument catches my eyes and I said to myself "The person standing infront of this monument will be me one day"
The Arc de Triomphe is a monument in Paris, France that stands in the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle. The arch honors those who fought for France, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars. On the inside and the top of the arc there are all of the names of generals and wars fought. Underneath is the tomb of the unknown soldier from World War I.

Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel
We stumbled upon this Carrousel by accident on our way to Louvre, which is just opposite road.
The Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel (architects Percier and Fontaine) was built between 1806 and 1808 by Napoleon I following the model of the Arc of Constantine in Rome. The two arches built by Napoleon - Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel and the Arc de Triomphe at Etoile, were to commemorate his victories, and the grand army who had won them. The Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel is richly decorated in rose marble on the columns and the front paneling.
