1) Holiday - Day One (23rd May 2008)

Day One - 23rd May 2008 with my daughter Raihanah.
Departure Singapore at Terminal 3 Changi International Airport at 01.05am 23rd May 2008 SQ0346 and arrival Switzerland Zurich at 07.45am 23rd May 2008. (Zurich is 6 hours behind Singapore time)
Met Siti's (Faritha's friend in Zurich) cousin, Zainab and her husband Sumardi at boarding area. At Zurich we were received by Siti's husband, Roger. After depositing my luggages at the airport, we went to Siti's house. An hour later Siti came home and we went out. That's the begin of our holiday.
Went to Rheinfall, which may not be as famous as Niagara Falls, but the Rheinfall waterfalls near Schaffhausen, northern Switzerland are the biggest waterfalls in Europe.
On the day I visited Rheinfall, it was a bright sunny day in early summer and the area was a little crowded. You can reach Schaffhausen and the Rheinfall area by train and bus.
Then visited a peaceful car-free Old Town of Rapperswil. It is an attractive town with a restored 13th century castle that houses Switzerland's Polish Museum and is separated from Lake Zurich only by the likewise car-free "Fish Market Square".
Back to Siti's house and we had raclette for dinner. Raclette is a staple of wintertime in Switzerland.
After dinner, siti sent us to airport. After collecting our luggages, we board the train to Bern, where Faritha will be waiting for us. Reached Bern at about 11.00pm. Faritha and her hubby Albert drove us to their home at Sugiez.
